Live Migrations' Tucker Malarkey
on Swedish National TV
August 11th, 2026: Tucker spoke about how she was inspired by Sweden's Great Moose Migration for Live Migrations, and how watching live nature can benefit our brains. “There were no moose, just a sunlit river. The more I looked, the calmer I became,” she says of witnessing the Swedish project.
New Research Collaboration

Live Migrations is launching an exciting new pilot exploring a simple question: How might watching a great natural event unfold in real time change the way we feel? Working with university and nonprofit partners, we hope to bring the live salmon migration to screens in shared public spaces, inviting passersby to pause for 30 seconds, reflect on what they are witnessing, and share their responses through a brief survey. A second group will watch for at least five minutes a day on three of the five broadcast days, helping us explore whether repeated encounters with live nature can reduce stress, awaken hope and wonder, and deepen our connection to the living world.
